A day in September 2020 CAR Mobile Notary Services received a call from a potential client needing mobile notarization for a loved one going through chemotherapy. The sibling requested the service for her brother, who was battling Cancer and didn’t have enough energy to be transported. The document to be notarized was a Last Will and Testament with two witnesses. Car Mobile Notary Services partners with Prepared Love for Families (PLF) and offered the notarization service free.
Upon arrival the notary company witnessed the patient lying in bed too weak to get up. The sibling had traveled from another state to care for her brother and there were two witnesses present who would sign the document attesting to his signature. When the service was completed the notary company decided to make the entire service free, including the travel expenses and time. However, the clients were aware of the notary discount due to Prepared Love for Families, and accepted the generosity of CAR Mobile Notary Service and in turn donated their payment to PLF Foundation. The sibling said, “We appreciate the gift from you and would like for you to accept this (payment) as a donation to PLF Foundation. It could help someone else who need your services.”
What a precious gift from someone going through their own battle to reach out in hopes of helping others. This was indeed a ‘gift that gives’ back.
