A FATHER IN MOTION
Joshua was nominated by his father who is profoundly proud of him. When Prepared Love for Families (PL4F) received his nomination we were reminded of so many children without fathers who are present in their life. We realized quickly this young man gave selflessly of his time not only to his children but to the children of others. Joshua coaches the T-ball team of his four-year-old son. What patience he must sustain! Talk about being active in his children’s lives, he also supports his nine-year-old in basketball and baseball. If you are friends with Joshua Joyner on social media, you will find joy in the photos he posts of his T-ball team. The little youngsters seem to love the sport and love Joshua too!
As an organization at whole, Prepared Love for Families Foundation believes it is important to train up a child in the way he shall go. It is biblical. Proverbs 22:6 say, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Mr. Joyner is first a Man of God. Not only does he spend physical time with his children, he also prays with them and keeps them in Sunday School. He realizes the importance of a strong and spiritual foundation at a young age. It is vitally important for children to have both parents in the home and both parents actively involved in their upbringing. We believe the Joyner boys will become awesome young men who will keep fatherhood alive as they experience the magnitude of having a present dad.
When we presented Joshua with this award he was very surprised. He had no idea his father had nominated him for anything like this. Just as many, he didn’t know we existed and surely wasn’t expecting any type of recognition for doing what he was chosen to do when he was blessed with children.
Joshua said, “It is definitely an honor being not only nominated but selected for the Father in Motion award. Thank you Prepared Love Organization and my dad for the nomination.”
No, Joshua, it was OUR honor to receive you as a nominee. We thank you for stepping up in your role as an active father and leading by example. We love to shine the light on great parents (and great children) who understand the importance of family!
