To Family and Friends of Prepared Love for Families Foundation (PL4F),
It is with heightened emotion that we announce an Arkansas family who is experiencing the wrath of COVID-19. Mrs. Bradley of Little Rock, AR unexpectedly lost her husband (Mark Bradley, Sr.) then just three weeks later she unexpectedly lost her son (Mark Bradley, Jr). Both were due to COVID19 complications. Neither was prepared with burial funding.
When PL4F asked Mrs. Bradley what she needed the most from us she replied, “Help with my son’s burial. All those who helped with my husband’s burial three weeks ago are just strapped right now so it’s hard getting the help I need. It has been very difficult for me.”
Some of us know from experience how difficult it is trying to be strong during the loss of multiple family members unexpectedly within weeks of each other. Coupled with having to raise funding for them and seeking assistance from strangers can test one’s strength, surely. But we know our faith comes from God Almighty, and so Mrs. Bradley’s strength is no surprise.
As you may be aware PREPARED LOVE FOR FAMILIES FOUNDATION (PL4F) was founded with a mission to help those families in need financially, and/or emotionally, during an unexpected loss of their loved one. We then follow up with those families throughout the first year of loss to support and offer solutions for preparedness education. We do not donate monies for burial funding directly to the family, but directly to the funeral home. This particular program is called The American Funeral Program.
Due to Mrs. Bradley’s request for assistance in PL4F’s American Funeral Program, we are asking for your help. Simply put, we need your prayers AND your financial support. We are asking that you also assist by sharing this campaign with all of your contacts (your family, friends, church, groups, social media, etc). Any way that YOU can help is greatly appreciated!
Mark Bradley, Jr’s burial costs are $7,965 of which $4,000 would normally be expected by the funeral home (Hill’s Funeral Service) as a down payment. We have been in contact with the funeral home, and they have informed us that under these circumstances they are accepting whatever amount the family can raise for the down payment and that the services will be conducted either way. Mrs. Bradley laid her son to rest on Saturday, October 9, 2021. We thank Hill’s Funeral Service for their support.
PL4F is committed to raising $2,000 for the Bradley Jr. campaign. Any amount raised past our $2,000 goal will be placed in the Bradley Jr. campaign account to help with the remaining balance of the burial costs, if any. In the case of any remaining funds after the burial costs, we will offer grief counseling for Mrs. Bradley and her children and ongoing follow-up support for her and her children.
Our goal at PL4F is not only to support families financially with burial costs and grief counseling; it is to help prepare families for future emergencies so they can be self-reliant. Our vision is for families to have the resources needed during emergencies without the need for financial support.
As of 2021 individuals donating up to $300 ($600 for couples) to a nonprofit recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 organization, such as Prepared Love for Families Foundation (PL4F), may qualify for a tax deduction.
Your gift of $10, $50, $100 or more, and any amount in-between are ALL appreciated because it takes ALL of us to reach our goal of $2,000.
